Growing up, I loved my pencils. I loved taking different pens, of different shapes and colors and draw on a piece of paper, on my journal, on my school books… But life got in the way. I grew up and started doing what adolescents do. Last year, as I started getting into painting again, I remembered the kid in me that loved painting. Flashes of my childhood that I had long buried started coming up again. I remember drawing patterns, faces, forms…I recall trying different shades of colours, painting, even cutting different shapes and making them into little houses, even food shapes that I would use to play with my friends. Today, I draw to express myself. I paint and get lost in the image I am bringing to life.

My first drawing was the expression of love itself. I was going through an out of body experience when I had this vision. The coming together of God under a shower of love in all languages (speaking in tongues). If you look closely, the big rock represents love – it is made up of an infinite amount of small love blocks (with love written in different languages). Love overpowers any emotion and situation – as such in the painting, you can see love rocks falling down and burning all other emotions (or making them irrelevant). On the bottom, there are different emotions in different languages (including hate, anger, frustration, pain, disappointment). Love was stronger than any other emotion or feeling that ever existed, in any language there ever was. Love above all – when in any situation; remember that love is the answer.
